The Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath of Honor were given to newly hired officer, Joe Thomas.

According to Assistant Chief James Fuller, BPD is glad to welcome Thomas, who has over 5 years experience as a police officer.  Previous to his hiring at Brownwood, Thomas was employed as a reserve officer in McCullough County while he worked full time managing a ranch in the area.  Thomas has also worked as a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) officer as well.

“He is a mature, calm, and intelligent officer,” stated Fuller.  “We are glad to have him on the force.”
