BenCox2015I was talking to a friend back and forth via text last night, about each of us conquering our respective laundry piles.

We were both joking about how much it sucks being a grown up and having to actually do the chores we tried so desperately to get away from as kids, since we have to set an example for our children.

So I finally got up, and got through with a good portion of what needed to be done, and while I was putting away the clean clothes (I get ‘em clean, it’s the putting away that typically evades completion) I realized that I was simply lacking the motivation to do it.

Yeah, for my close friends, this is no surprise.

If I don’t have some one special coming over, or a group of people, my place returns to its natural state of existence: the bachelor apartment.

It’s a place I try to not go to if I can, but lemme tell ya, have a couple of weeks like I’ve had recently, and you tend to stop caring for a bit!

With the cold weather, a transmission going out and needing replacement, on top of other things, it’s been hard to muster the ability to really care about the state of my living room.

Granted, my place is about the size of a manilla envelope and takes VERY little time to clean. Seriously, I didn’t vacuum or dust, but cleaning my living room took about 4 and ½ minutes.

Must be an aversion to housework that I suffer from. Anybody else dealing with this particular affliction? Maybe we should start a support group and meet at each others’ houses.

We can meet at my place this week. But after that probably never again.

Cause I’ll have to clean.
