Funeral service for O.C. Crawford, 83, of Brownwood will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Brady Avenue Church of Christ, 1610 Brady Ave., Brownwood. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamilton County. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at a Ballinger nursing home.

She was born May 15, 1928, in Wingate, to Myrtle Ella Childers and Ollie Claude Crawford. He was married to Georgie Mildred Dawson in 1944 and she died in 1978. On Aug. 31, 1973, he was married to Mima Jones Buckelew in Austin. He worked in the oil field. After retiring, he sold watermelons and cantaloupe.

Survivors include his wife, Mima Crawford of Ballinger; his children, Nick Howell and husband Benny of Ballinger, Helen DePew and husband Mark of Blanco, Millie Larsen and husband Adam of Brownwood, Rebecca Buckelew of Brownwood, Harley Buckelew of Navasota, Elmer Buckelew and wife Evelyn of Winters; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six children, Irene Sweeden, Susie Crawford, Roy (O.C.) Crawford, Roy Leonard Buckelew, Roger Dale Buckelew, Edna Irene Buckelew; and six brothers and sisters.
