Brownwood Police – The following calls for service were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department between August 29 and September 2 and included on their Offense and Incident Report on Tuesday, September 3rd. The final entry on this report is of 5 people arrested at the same time for criminal trespass.
On 8/29/2019 at 0900 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Blk. of W. Commerce in reference to theft. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
On 8/29/2019 at 1600 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 Blk. of Main Blvd. in reference to burglary. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
On Friday, August 30, 2019 at approximately 0930, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 1800 block of Belle Plain in reference to a Burglary of Coin Operated Machine. A report was generated for this incident.
On Friday, August 30, 2019, Officers responded to the 1900 block of Avenue B in reference to animals without food or water. After arriving on scene, two dogs were taken to the animal shelter and a report was generated.
On 08-30-2019 a man was at the Brownwood Parole Office for his
appointment. He was in possession of a False Drug Test Falsification Device. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
On August 30, 2019, Brownwood PD Officers were dispatched to two separate locations regarding one individual who had threatened to harm them. The suspect was identified, but not located at this time.
On Friday August 30, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Ave E in reference to an unwanted person. During the interview with the unwanted person it was discovered there was an active warrant for his arrest. While searching the
individual a container containing a controlled substance PG 1 was discovered. The individual was placed into custody for the warrant and possession of controlled
substance pg1 >=4g<200g.
On Saturday August 31, 2019 at approximately O 115 hours, an officer arrived in the 2600 block of Belmeade. The officer was dispatched to the address by 911-operators in reference to an assault.
On Saturday, August 31, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of South US 377 for a report of criminal mischief. A report was generated.
On Saturday, August 31, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Borden St for a report of criminal mischief. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.
On Saturday, August 31, 2019 at approximately 2005 hours, a Brownwood PD Officer was patrolling the 400 block of West Commerce. Looking towards the entrance way to 403 West Commerce, the Officer observed a white male slumped over. The male was seated and leaning forward. The male’s arms dangled off the curb near the roadway. I circled around to check the male’s welfare. The man was arrested for Public Intoxication with 3 or more convictions.
On 8/31/19, at approximately 2313 hrs, Officers were dispatched to northern Brownwood address in the 500 block of Cordell Street in reference to an assault. While investigating the original complaint, another assault was reported and documented at the complainant’s request.
On Sunday September 1, 2019, officers responded to a report of an assault call where the male party had left the area in a vehicle. The vehicle was observed by officers being operated in a public roadway. When conducting the assault investigation, the odor of metabolized alcohol was detected emitting from the driver. The driver was ultimately placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. During the search of the driver’s criminal history, it showed there was a prior conviction for DWI. The driver was charged with DWI 2nd (MA).
On September 1, 2019 at 0121 hours, a Brownwood PD Officer was dispatched to a business in the 2700 block of Memorial Park Drive. A report was taken for Offensive Touch, and a suspect was named.
On 9/1/19, at approximately 0510 hrs, Officers were dispatched to a southern Brownwood residence in the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report was generated for further investigative purposes.
On Sunday, September 01, 2019, Officers responded to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin in reference to a domestic disturbance. The male half was located 3801 South US 377. After Officers spoke with the male half, the male was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. The male was transported to BRMC for a blood draw and then transported to the Brown County Jail.
On Sunday September 1, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive for a report of a hit and run. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.
On Sunday September 1, 2019, officers were dispatched to a call in reference to a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived two individuals were observed yelling outside of a residence in the 1400 block of Ave D. An investigation was conducted and a male subject was placed into custody.
On September 1, 2019, at 2123 hours, an Officer was dispatched to 1500 Dublin Drive in reference to the burglary of a habitation that had already occurred.
On September 1, 2019, at 2228 hours, Brownwood PD Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Temple Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. This call led to the arrest of a female for Assault w/ Injury – Family Violence.
On 9/2/2019 at approximately 1700 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview for an assault. Police made an arrest for driving under the
influence.
On Monday, September 2, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood business in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue for an assault report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
On Monday, September 02, 2019, at approximately 2050 Hrs, two officers were dispatched to a North Brownwood abandoned building in the 200 block of Fisk in reference to Trespassing. Upon officer arrival, they located an open door as informed by dispatch. An officer opened the door and announced Brownwood PD. Five (5) subjects came walking out. Police made contact with the owner who wished to pursue charges for Trespassing. All five (5) subjects were placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass. An incident and Arrest report was generated and completed.
