Funeral services for Norma Jean LaQuey, age 78, of Blanket, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. LaQuey died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Lubbock.
Norma was born on July 19, 1931 in May, TX to Marion Ewell and Flora Boulter Harris. Norma married Billy E. LaQuey on May 27, 1953. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blanket First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie Lynn LaQuey Vance of Lubbock; one son, Stephen Glynn LaQuey of Blanket; two granddaughters, Jessica Nicole Vance, and Stacy Kalynn LaQuey; one grandson, Tye LaQuey; two great grandchildren, Donika LaQuey and Corban LaQuey. She also leaves a sister, Eva McNaught; three nieces, Lillian Gentry, Beverly King and Barbara Winters and two nephews, Ken Coan and Joe LaQuey.She was preceded in death by her husband and her grandson, Kevin Vance.
