Funeral Services for Norene Roberts, age 97, of Lake Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. She passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 in Brownwood Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Lillian Norene was born on February 28, 1915 in Williams, Texas to James Nuton and Ida Lee Densman Wood. On August 17, 1933 she married Marvie D. Roberts in May, Texas and he preceded her in death in 1991. Norene had lived most of her life in this area and moved to Lake Brownwood in 1972 where she had been a member of the First Baptist Church for the past twenty eight years. She enjoyed traveling, oil painting and poetry. Norene loved her yard that she was still able to mow until not long ago. She also got great enjoyment from caring for her many flowers and over forty rose bushes.

Brother-in-law: Dick Garner of Brownwood
7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Velma Williams, Jean Bickle and Joyce Garner; granddaughter Lyrene Thompson; great granddaughter Rebacca Powers and a great great grandson Sammy Roy.
