Funeral Services for Floyd “Nolan” Lewis, age 65, of Early will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday June 7, 2010 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Skaggs officiating, with cremation to follow under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis passed away June 4, 2010 in Hamilton.
He was born May 16, 1945 in Brown County, Tx to Floyd T. and Leatha “Pete” (Byrd) Lewis. Nolan married Carrol Ruder on June 4, 1992 in Brownwood , Tx. He worked for 33 years at Potters Industries at Lake Brownwood and served as plant manager for several of those years.
Nolan is survived by his wife Carrol Lewis of Early; a daughter, Sherry Ferguson and husband Jackie of Coleman; son, Keith Lewis and wife Alicia of Lake Brownwood; Stepdaughter, Jill Holamon and husband Kevin of Early; step son, David Ruder and wife Christy of Burleson, Tx; four grandchildren; one great grandchild ;7 step grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Lewis and wife Betty of Brownwood, and Dennis Lewis and wife Dot of Lake Brownwood; and a sister, Vonda Simmons and husband Delton of Midland.
