Nicholas “Nick” Lavrov Jr., passed away after a courageous battle with lung disease on August 5, 2012, in Springtown Texas. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Nick had touched in his lifetime.
Nick was born on February 7, 1960, to Nicholas Lavrov Sr., and Gertrude Stadler Lavrov in Passaic New Jersey . He attended the Lyndon Institute in Vermont and later graduated from Rider University in 1981. He married his soul mate, Melody Stacy-Newman on August 2, 2001, in Tom’s River New Jersey .
Nick was employed with Lockheed Martin for 19 years before going to work for KBR. While at KBR, he worked out of Iraq , and enjoyed his time there in supporting our troops. He loved to shoot darts and sing karaoke in his spare time.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Melody Lavrov; two sons, Nicholas Lavrov III and Preston “Bubba” Kemp and wife April; three daughters, Natalie Lavrov, Stephenie Stacy-Rose and husband Bruce Thomas and Sonja Me`chelle Mitchelle and husband Donald; five grandchildren, Zachary, Morgan, Brooke, Justin and Asa; his mother, Gertrude Lavrov; sister, Marena Lavrov; two nieces and his four-legged close companion Max.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Lavrov Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Friday, August 10, 2012, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 9th, at the funeral home.
