WelchNevaFuneral Services for Neva L. Welch, age 53, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  Interment will follow in the Locker Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Welch passed away Friday, August 08, 2014 at her residence.

Neva was born on February 26, 1961 in Brownwood, Texas to Thomas Mayes and Edith Velma Chamberlain Miller.  She grew up in Brookesmith and was married to James Don Savage on March 30, 1991 in Brookesmith and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2004.  She married Alfred (A.C.) Welch on May 6, 2006 in Brownwood.  She was a lifetime resident of this area and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.  Neva kept busy working with her hands.  She could always be found in her large craft room where she crocheted, sewed, did leatherwork, Native American bead work and other crafts.

She is survived by her husband Alfred (A.C.) Welch of Brownwood; grandmother Hazel Chamberlain of Brownwood; uncle Jim Miller and wife Jane of Brownwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed and Evelyn Welch of Tuscola and by numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Tommy (Bubba) Miller.
