Nelson Reed “Buckshot” Bradley Trowbridge, age 53, of San Angelo passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 in San Angelo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Blake Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 7:00pm until 8:30pm.
Nelson was born February 27, 1958, to Elbert Earl and Betty Jo Anne (Henson) Trowbridge, in Brownwood, TX. He graduated from Brooksmith High School in 1976. Nelson enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1979. During his service, he attained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class, and was what is known as a Golden Shell Back. Nelson enjoyed many different activities. He was an avid golfer and bowler, he went camping and fishing, and he liked dancing and music. Nelson owned and operated Reed’s Repair in San Angelo since 2004. He loved his family dearly, which included his dog, Hank. Nelson had many endearing qualities; he never turned away a person in need, and it is said that he never met a stranger.
Mr. Trowbridge was preceded in death by his dad; James “Old Goat” Bradley, his grandson; Jodie James Hubbard, his granddaughter; Perri Deann Hubbard, and his niece; Katarina Smith.
Survivors include his son James Alexander “Alex” “Hot Shot” Trowbridge; daughters Angela Kay “Puss” Hubbard and Terrie Sue “Terrible Sue” Walker; step-son Christopher Mathew Fogg; step-daughter Deanna Michelle Fogg; granddaughter Caitlyn “Caiti Bug” Hubbard; grandson Jonathan Hubbard; mother Betty Jo Ann “Jodi” Bradley; sister Rhonda “Sissy” Seher; niece Brandy Smith; nephew Daniel “Buck” Tucker; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
