Nannie Mae Fry, age 94, of Brownwood passed away Friday March 19, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday March 21, 2010 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is set for 6pm until 8pm Saturday March 20, 2010, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Nannie Mae Reid Fry was born July 21, 1915 to William “Bill” and Edna Reid, in Brown County, Tx. She married Bob Fry on December 5, 1936 in Brownwood. She was a lifelong resident of Brownwood, and a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. Nannie enjoyed many artistic hobbies such as painting ceramics, and creating oil paintings. She also enjoyed gardening and meeting with her friends who had a “coffee club.”
Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her husband Bob Fry, her parents Bill and Edna Reid, her brother Grady Reid, her nephew Jimmy Scott, and her niece Mary Lynn Hampton.
Survivors include her daughter Donna Mikeska and husband Delano, her sister-in-law Bette Reid, her grandson Mark Hale and wife Paula, great-grandchildren; Kandyce Hale, Katherine Hale, Kassie Hale, and Tucker Hale, nephews; Charles Scott, Bobby Lynn Fry, Monte Reid, and Brent Reid, and nieces; Barbara Arnold, Sharon Sears, Kelly Bohannon.
