Margaret Nadine Yocham Humbersom Laurence, age 91, of San Antonio, formerly of Brownwood, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, April 11, 2011 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Nadine was born October 19, 1919 in Jayton, TX, to Manzy and Sally Yocham. She was a homemaker, as well as working as a clerk in various retail stores. Later in life, Nadine became interested in art, and developed quite an artistic talent. She also enjoyed watching soap operas, shopping, and she loved playing bingo. Nadine’s grandchildren were very special to her. She loved them all dearly, from her oldest grandchild of 56 years to the youngest great-grandchild of 21 months, and each one in between.
Mrs. Laurence was preceded in death her parents, her first husband Welt Humberson, her second husband Richard Laurence , her daughter Anita Humberson, a son-in-law Floyd A. Trahan, five brothers; Rusty Stone, Weldon Stone, R.L. Stone, J.W. Yocham, Roy Yocham, two sisters-in-law; Ollie Newton and Vivian Laurence, and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son Ernest Humberson and wife Eva, her daughter Carolyn Humberson Trahan, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a very special niece and nephew; Pamela and James Parker, who took great care of her.
