Brownwood News – Right across the street from Pat Coursey Park, on Center Avenue in downtown Brownwood, a new business is taking shape.   It’s simple to find, just look up.

A vibrant mural, featuring books and a coffee cup, give you a hint of what is coming.  Later this year, Kim and Brent Bruton plan to open Intermission Book Shop which will also offer coffee.

Creating the mural were local artists Amanda Coers, Jeremy Serna who owns Painting with Friends and his assistant Myranda Moody.  According to Coers, local historian Carl Bodiford helped with information needed to come up with the book titles.  Six of the books provide little hints about local history.  Work continues on the inside of the building.
