The Lady Lions golf team participated in the Girls Golf District 5-3A Final Round at the West Texas College golf course in Snyder on April 12th with one team mate qualifying for Regional competition.
Courtney Munson shot an 89 Tuesday in Snyder for a three round total of 265. She made the all district team by finishing fifth and is now advancing to Regional in Lubbock.
“I am so proud of her she struggled through 18 holes with lower back pain,” stated her coach Laura Martin. “Hopefully we can get her feeling better by next week.”
Martin expressed her pride in the team as well.
“The Lady Lions tried so hard but finished out district in 4th place behind Wylie,” said Martin. “It was a great year I am so proud of all of the girls. It has been a ride with this group of Seniors I will miss them.”
Below are the results from the Girls Golf District 5-3A Final Round held at WTC course in Snyder on Tuesday, April 12th. The top 2 teams and next 2 individuals advanced to the 3A Regional Tournament that will be held on April 18-19 at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Lubbock, Texas.
