Funeral services for Moya Cole, age 94, of Bangs, will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the Trickham Union Church. Interment will follow in the Trickham Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 Saturday evening.
Mrs. Cole died Friday, November 13, 2009 in Brownwood.
Moya was born on September 3, 1915 in Trickham to Charlie and Clara (Hardin) Haynes. She married Jack Cole on September 26, 1932 in Brownwood. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1991. She was a former member of the Mt. View Methodist Church and a current member of the Bangs First United Methodist Church.
Moya was also a member of the Mary Garland Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a longstanding interest in genealogy and the history of her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her delight, and she was much loved by all of them.
Moya is survived by a son, Ivey Cole and wife Caroline of Liberty Hill, two daughters, Helen Chamberlain of Brownwood, and Caryln Smith and husband Bill of Abilene, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Myra Haynes of Brownwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son-in-law Wayne Chamberlain.
