Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident Thursday afternoon which resulted in the driver of a motorcycle being injured.
Witnesses on scene said that the motorcycle was traveling west on Austin Avenue when an SUV traveling south on Coggin attempted to turn left. The two vehicles collided and witnesses state the driver of the motorcycle was thrown off, sustaining an injury to the head, several cuts and scratches along with other injuries that caused him to limp away from the scene.
Although his head and arms were visibly bleeding, the male driver of the motorcycle refused ambulance transport and was taken from the scene by family. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening, according to responders on scene.
The SUV did not appear to have damage and its driver was not reported to be injured in the accident.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
