Emergency responders were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of Early Blvd.

Responders said that the pickup was still partially in the inside driving lane when a tan passenger car traveling in the same direction made a sudden stop to avoid hitting the pickup. Responders on scene said that the motorcycle rider had a broken leg and was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The incident occurred around 5:45 PM Wednesday and backed up traffic for several blocks while the scene was cleared.
