Brownwood News – According to data kept by the San Angelo National Weather Service, the rainfall total in Brownwood between January 1, 2019 and June 4, 2019 is 18.5 inches.  For the month of May alone, Brownwood recorded 6.50 inches. In April, the amount was 8.00 inches.

The numbers are impressive in other communities in West Central Texas.  According to the National Weather Service, rainfall from September, 2018 through May, 2019 was 36.10 inches in Abilene. This is the top wettest on record for the September through May time frame. At San Angelo, rainfall was 30.16 inches. This is the 3rd wettest on record for September through May.
