A Brownwood woman returned home after taking her two children to school to find a fire at her home Monday morning.
The fire was reported at approximately 7:50 a.m. and was reported to have been caused by heat lamps in a shed overloading some older wiring. The lamps were an effort to keep the family’s three dogs warm. Flames shooting out of the shed, located directly behind the house, caused some exterior damage to the home’s siding along smoke damage to the house. The family of four were not home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Firefighters set up a ventilation fan and soaked the back side of the home where the damage had occurred.
