Brownwood News – The following update on COVID-19 is from the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department issued on Monday, May 4, 2020.
On Monday May 4, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 13 negative test results and 2 positive test results.
Of the two confirmed positive test results, one is a resident of the same nursing home as the other positive cases.
The second positive case is a nursing home employee of the same facility. The employee is in quarantine, and has had little interaction in the community. No results were received over the weekend.
A sixth nursing home resident has passed away related to COVID-19.
There are 9 pending tests, all with private labs.
The total COVID-19 cases in Brown County is now 38 and 6 deaths.
