10:45 a.m Update: Brown County Jail records indicate that Michael Logan Lowery has been released to Comanche authorities and transported to Comanche County.
10:00 a.m. Update: Comanche County Sheriff’s Office released the following press release Wednesday morning:
The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating the disappearance of Amber Lowery. Lowery was reported missing on July 24, 2013 after being heard from last, the previous evening.
Investigators have been conducting interviews and collecting information and on July 30th executed a search warrant relating to the case.
Michael Lowery, 34, of Rising Star was arrested at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center on the charge of Murder. Michael Lowery will be transferred back to Comanche County where he is charged.
Investigators are still currently continuing to collect and process information relating to the case.
Original Story: According to Brown County Jail records, 34-year-old Michael Logan Lowery was booked into jail late Tuesday on the charge of murder from Comanche County and is currently being held in Brown County on $1 million dollars bond.
His wife, Amber Christensen-Lowery, was last seen Tuesday, July 23rd, around 9:45 PM at her home near Rising Star, Texas. She was reported missing the next afternoon. The 34-year old reportedly left her home with her Honda CVR.
Amber’s abandoned vehicle was discovered Saturday in Rising Star.
The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case. No other information was immediately available Wednesday morning.
