goatBrownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Cottage Street regarding a theft on Wednesday, November 16th at 1:52 p.m. The homeowner reported a 6-month-old solid red female boer goat had been stolen from a fenced area.

“We raise goats,” the homeowner later spoke over the phone. “She was bottle-fed, our granddaughter named her Bella.” After inquiring, the homeowner stated there was no possible way for the goat to have left the enclosure on her own. “She likes to come up to the fence and stand up. They would have had to lift her out of the fence.”

The incident is currently under investigation. If anyone has any information regarding the missing livestock, please call the Brownwood Police Department. Pictured is the goat’s twin sister, Jane.
