Mima Jones “Granny” Crawford, age 89, of Winters, and formerly of Brownwood, died Friday, November 15, 2019 at Central Texas Nursing Home in Ballinger.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Marcy Grun, pastor of Bluff Creek Cowboy Church, officiating.

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamilton County.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Mima Jones on August 27, 1930 in Mills County, Texas to Leonard Earl Jones and Cordie Yeager Jones.  Mima grew up in Mills County and attended school in Mullins.  She married Leroy Buckelew in 1947.  After Leroy’s death, Mima married O.C. Crawford on August 31, 1973 in Austin.  Mima loved spending time with family, taking care of others, and giving love.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mima is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leroy Buckelew; the love of her life, O.C. Crawford; two daughters, Irene Sweden and Edna Buckelew; four sons, Roger Dale Buckelew, Roy Leonard Buckelew, Roy O.C. Crawford; Harley Richard Buckelew; grandsons Michael Roy O.C. Buck, Elmer Lee Buckelew, Jr.; granddaughter Annette Knight; one great-grandson; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mima is survived by her four daughters, Nick Howell and husband Benny of Ballinger, Helen Depew and husband Mark of Schulenburg, Rebecca Buckelew of Port Lavaca, Millie Larsen and husband Adam of Lake Brownwood; one son, Elmer Buckelew and wife Evelyn of Winters; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
