Funeral Services for Mildred Joyce Holland, age 82, of Brownwood, will be held Sunday January 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with The Reverend Curtis W. Schneider officiating, interment to follow at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, and a family visitation will also be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday January 15, 2012. She passed away Thursday January 12, 2012 in Brownwood, Texas. Mildred was born on October 30, 1929 in Indian Gap, Texas to Paul and Bonita (Klatt) Goerdel.
Mildred was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownwood, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed quilting and painting during her spare time.
Survivors include 2 children; John Holland and wife Janis of Brownwood, Dawlean Holland of Marble Falls, TX. 5 grandchildren; Angel and husband Joe Don Walker, Joni and husband Joel Gongora, David Hahn, Tanya Hahn, and Jason Tomek; as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband John Holland Sr.
