Mildred Julia Dodds accepted her invitation to heaven Friday morning, August 12, 2016 at Oak Ridge Manor surrounded by family and care takers.
Mildred was born June 19, 1920 in Lake Victor, Texas. She spent most of her life residing in Early and Brownwood. She was a retired beautician and shared a shop with her beloved husband Olan. They were married July 29, 1939.
Mildred was preceded in death by Olan and several siblings.
She is survived by her children Olene Lancaster and husband Jerry Don; their daughter Terri Berlingeri and her three children Jordan Berlingeri, Kelsi Berry and Taylor Berlingeri, along with their spouses and children; Scott Lancaster and wife Nicole and daughters Jessica, Brooke and Jade; Mildred’s son Larry Dodds and wife Vi. She is also survived by Larry’s daughters Larri O’Neal, Casey Holden, Micah Sullivan their spouses and children. Mildred has a total of five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Sunday August 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Home. Grave side service is Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:30 at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Long time neighbor Dallas Huston will officiate.
