Mike Perez, age 52, of Bangs went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 29, 2015 at a local nursing home.
Mike was born September 1, 1962 to Rogelio and Minerva (Castanuela) Perez in Brady, Texas. Mike was a graduate from Bangs High School. He was a man of faith and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Tyler Perez and Zoe Perez both of Austin; parents, Rogelio and Minerva Perez of Bangs; siblings, Grace Perez of Bangs, Roger Perez and wife Dana of Arlington, Joe Paul Perez of Springtown, Mark Perez of Arlington, Adam Perez and wife Mary of Brownwood, Angie Powell and husband Wes of Bangs. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and sister, Sally Mathews.
Funeral services for Mike will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Interment will follow in the Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Blaylock Funeral Home.
