MikeLangTexas House District 60 Candidate Mike Lang, will be the guest speaker at the Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club monthly luncheon meeting on Thursday October 22, 2015, at 11:30 am at the Brownwood Country Club.

Mike Lang, is one of two candidates running for Texas House Senate 60, the position currently held by Jim Keffer who is retiring at the end of the term.  Lang was raised in a small farming town in Sterling, Illinois where he learned the value of hard work. During his senior year of high school, Lang’s family relocated to Plano, Texas, where he graduated from Plano Senior High School.  Lang graduated from Texas Christian University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice and has served as a law enforcement officer for 30 years and was elected as Constable for Hood County in 2013.   During his 30 years of service in law enforcement, Lang has earned numerous awards including the Congressman’s Medal of Valor and the Purple Heart National Law Enforcement Citation.

Lang and his wife Katie currently reside in Granbury and are active members at Stonewater Church. They have one son, Ryan, who lives and works in Fort Worth.

The public is invited to attend and to bring a guest. Membership with the Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club is not required to attend.  The actual meeting will begin at noon and concludes at approximately 12:50 p.m.

The Pecan Valley Republican Women and the Brown County Republican Women clubs are working jointly to give all the candidates running for office an opportunity to speak at one of their monthly luncheon meetings before the primary elections that begin in February 2016.
