Memorial services for Michelle “Chelle” Kemp, age 45, of Brownwood will be held at noon Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Kemp passed away Saturday at her home with her loved ones at her side.
Gwendolyn Michelle Baldock was born January 1, 1968 in Big Springs, Texas to Earl Field and Billie Louise (Day) Kemp. She graduated high school from Mozelle High and continued her education to become a nurse. She married Sam Kemp on March 7, 1997, and she was a Baptist. Chelle had a zest for life that few people have. She was a tomboy from the time she was just a child, and she would try just about anything at least once. When she found out about her illness, skydiving was one of the things on her bucket list she did. She was a barrel racer, she enjoyed hunting and fishing; but more than anything else, Chelle loved her family and animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Sam Kemp of Brownwood; son, Kyle Evan Kemp of Brownwood; brother Louis Baldock and wife Cindy of Paris, Texas; sisters Diane Turner and husband, Ernie of Coleman and Kathy Johnson of Lake Brownwood; mother-in-law Paula Diane Wilson; brother-in-law Andy Kemp; sister-in-law Mary Kemp; special friend, Don Baber; beloved dog, Roxie; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronnie and Larry Baldock and sisters, Betty Atkinson and Shirley Johnson.
