Michael Tim Cockerham, age 66, of Brownwood died Wednesday at Rotary House of Hope Hospice in San Angelo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with visitation to be held from 6 – 8 PM on Friday. Burial will follow in the Comanche County Garden of Memories cemetery.
He was born March 17, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas the son of the late Carl Lee and Mary Jane Davis Cockerham. He graduated from the Borden County High School in 1963 and then moved to the Brownwood area. He married Nelda Carlson in Clovis, New Mexico on October 17, 1980 and joined a very extended family of whom he dearly loved. He worked as a welder most of his life working at White Mines in Brownwood and later for Superior Essex Corp. He became a very active member of the Early Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Cockerham of Brownwood
3 Sons – Clint Cockerham and Shane Cockerham both of Murfreesboro, Tennessee
and Casey Cockerham of Snyder, Texas
1 Daughter – Dedra Craig of Nashville, Tennessee
4 Grandchildren, Holley Cockerham, Clay Cockerham, Macy Craig, and Blayne Craig
1 Great Grandchild, Jace Abey
1 Brother – Kim Cockerham and wife Barbara of Bellmead, Texas
Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive as well as his extended family.
