A memorial service for Michael Starrett, age 55, of Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Michael passed from this life on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Brownwood.
Michael Eugene Starrett was born on June 11, 1959 in Chaves County, New Mexico to Richard and Lea Starrett. He held certifications as a firefighter, EMT, and as a dispatcher for law enforcement. He worked for number of years as dispatcher and first responder until health issues forced him to retire.
Michael was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.Michael is survived by his wife Kimela Dawn Starrett of Brownwood, a son Wesley Paul Hedges and wife Joanie, a daughter, Nicole L. Poling; three grandchildren, Abigail Poling, Joseph Poling, and Kirsten Poling; two brothers, James Starrett and wife Sylvia and David Starrett and Jonie Lykens; nieces and nephews, Felicia, Sammy, Melissa, Jerry, and Jon.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
