Brownwood News – AccelHealth welcomes Michael J. Cloy, PA. Michael is a graduate of Brooke Army Medical Center Academy of Health Sciences, where he was certified as a Respiratory Care Specialist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. His training and experience also include service as a hospital corpsman and respiratory care practitioner in the U.S. Navy, as well as extensive clinic work in internal medicine, diabetes care and cardiology. He is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
Michael and his wife Dana have been married 32 years and are members of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. He has three children, Caitlyn, Carson and Caroline. He serves as Board President on the Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees, and on Hardin Simmons University Physician Assistant Program Advisory Board as well as guest lecturing at the HSU PA program and as a clinical preceptor for PA students.
Michael is anxious to serve the AccelHealth patients and will begin seeing patients in Early January 2020. Cloy stated, “I look forward to joining the team at AccelHealth and working alongside my longtime colleague Dr. Tom Byrd.
