Candidate for Brown County Sheriff Billy Bloom invites the public to a meet a greet event to be held Saturday, October 24th at the Hampton Inn in Brownwood.
The event, to be held from 7-9 PM, will be hosted by Brownwood natives and Bloom’s uncles Dan and Dennis Bloom. These men are the donors of the Bloom Field at Gordon Wood Stadium and were themselves Brownwood Lions. Having been raised in Brownwood and having graduated from Brownwood High School, they have a love for the city and what benefits the area. Their hosting of the event is an endorsement of their nephew Billy’s candidacy.
The event will provide a time to meet Billy Bloom and for the public to ask questions of Bloom.
Bloom was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas, and is also a graduate of Brownwood High School. He is a fourth generation from Brown County and has been married to his wife Karen for 24 years. They have six children and three grandchildren. They also served as foster parents for the State of Texas for over twelve years. They are members of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Bloom states he is “bringing his 30+ years of law enforcement experience and leadership back home to Brown County for a fresh approach.” This experience includes service on local, county and state level positions.
