MattMaxfieldAfter six and a half years as chief executive officer of Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC), Matt Maxfield has resigned his leadership position effective April 14 to pursue a new CEO opportunity outside the company with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.

During his tenure, Maxfield’s leadership led to the development and implementation of many new programs both within the hospital and in the community. Maxfield led the effort to open Brown County’s first nursing program and partnered with Brownwood Independent School District to start the area’s first health career and technology program at Brownwood High School.  Within the hospital, Maxfield is credited with the recruitment of several new physicians including the recent affiliation with Heart of Texas Internal Medicine, a 5 regional physician practice.
