Professional longarm quilter, Angela McCorkle of Priddy, Texas was honored on Tuesday, June 26th with a book signing and reception at the Feathered Star quilt shop in downtown Clyde.
Angela’s talents are showcased in quilts from the book Story Time by Kim Gaddy of Austin. Animals fill the pages of book on charming small quilts designed to tell a story and evoke conversation with young children. Kim Gaddy graciously shared the original quilts from the book to serve as a backdrop for the festivities.
Area quilters know Angela McCorkle for her outstanding skills in adding another artistic layer to their quilt tops through free motion machine quilting. Artistically planned and executed tiny details of swirls, circles, feathers, straight line and fanciful quilting enhance the quilts.
