Representatives of the 1st-6th grade students of May ISD presented Lisa Birrell, Administrative Assistant at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center’s Walker Cancer Center, care packages to be distributed to patients of the cancer center.
The community service project is in honor of Mrs. Davis, who teaches math at May Elementary. Mrs. Davis recently won the battle against cancer. The care packages are a tribute to her courage and strength and hopefully will give the patients a sense of hope, renewed faith and overwhelming love. Each care package included a bottle of water, various puzzles, lip balm, a hand colored picture, moist wipes, Kleenex and a bracelet.
