NativityThe May Community Christmas Celebration which will be held at the May Community Center has been rescheduled to Saturday, December 21st from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. due to the May Tigers’ success in the state playoffs.  The Tigers are scheduled to play on Saturday, December 7th and if victorious, play again for the state title on December 14th (the original date of the Community Christmas Celebration).

Organizers state, “Since this is a community affair, we will be in support of these kids in Fort Worth on the 14th.”

Everyone is invited to sing Christmas carols with the Abundant Life Church Praise Band and also enjoy an unforgettable theatric performance by the “Sweet Hattalines” of the Red Hat Society.

Santa Claus will be there too, ready to hear every child’s Christmas wish.  Parents are reminded to bring their cameras.  Children are also invited to participate in cookie decorating and holiday crafts.

There’s something for everyone.  Nativity scenes shared from the community will be on display to retell the story of the miraculous gift of the first Christmas.  Take a stroll down Christmases past with exhibits which will answer questions about the season, such as:  Where do Christmas traditions come from?  Why do we hang stockings and mistletoe?

There will also be live music, hot chocolate, sweets, and other festivities which organizers promise “are sure to warm the hearts and spirits of old and young alike.”

So, mark your calendar, consider making a donation for the Salvation Army, and come to the charming town of May for a joyful “Community Christmas Celebration.”
