Maximino Guerrero, Sr., 95, of Brownwood, TX, formerly of San Saba, TX, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019, surrounded by his family.
A rosary and visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019, in the Chapel at Heartland Funeral Home in Early TX with services and burial next week in San Diego De La Union, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Maximino Guerrero was born June 1, 1924, to Florencio Guerrero and Salome Noyala, in La Presita, San Diego De La Union, Guanajuato, Mexico. He married Maria Cruz on March 19, 1973. As a young man, he worked with the State of Guanajato to build many dams and roads in the community. He later worked as a migrant worker throughout the Southwest United States. He ended working for TSS in San Saba. He enjoyed singing, dancing and having a drink with his family and friends. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Maria Cruz Orocio Guerrero of Brownwood, son, Edwardo Guerrero of Granite Shoals; daughters, Eva Ibarra of Dallas, Anita Guerrero and husband Mario Pena of Mexico, Delfina Guzman and husband Prudencio Guzman of Granite Shoals, son Florencio Guerrero and wife Vicky Guerrero of Round Mountain, daughters, Irma Guerrero and husband Scotty Hibler of Brownwood, Adela Guerrero of Brownwood, son, Maximino Guerrero, Jr., of Mexico, and 39 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, and brother , Luis Guerrero of Ft Worth.
Maximino was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 sons, Fortunato Guerrero, Antonio Guerrero, and Nicandro Guerrero.
