tarasasMatthew “Mike” Terasas was born on October 1, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Bruno Terasas and Michaeline Makunas Terasas. Mike was in the Air Force and retired from the Army serving in the Vietnam conflict.  Mr. Terasas was awarded numerous medals and citations including Air Force Longevity Service Award, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.  Mike married Jonnie Carolyn Snider on November 6, 1965 in Lubbock, Texas and had two sons, Anthony and Nicholas.  He was a member of the Lake Brownwood First Baptist Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association.  Mr. Terasas passed away at his home on May 23, 2012.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of forty-six years, Carolyn; his sons, Anthony Terasas and wife, Tracey of Graham, Texas, and Nicholas Terasas and wife, Julie of Broomfield, Colorado; his sister, Michaeline Naujokaitis of Killeen, Texas; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Brownwood with Brother Art Switzer officiating.  Interment will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Home.  Pall bearers will be Bob McClain, Tim Reich, James Brittian, Wade Hampton, Dean Snoody, and Darvel Hutchins.
