Funeral services for Mary Sumner, age 69, of Brownwood, will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sumner passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Brownwood.
Mary Catherine Schumann was born November 14, 1948 in Brownwood to Willie and Hattie (Schumann) Huckobey. She grew up and attended school in Zephyr and had been a licensed vocational nurse since 1975.
Survivors include her son Kenneth Langley of Brownwood; one brother Attison Huckobey of Vernon; sister Linda Goodman of Brownwood; three grandchildren AJ, Camie and Michelle; great grandchildren Kooper, CJ, Michael and Tristan; nieces Jacklyn, Shelly and Christina and nephews Frankie, David and Jimmy. She was preceded in death by her parents Haddie and Willy Huckobey.
