SingletonMary Sharleen Singleton, age 65, of Mercury, Texas passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County. Cremation was under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.

Sharleen was born on October 1, 1949 in Alvarado, Texas to Hence and Leona McCalaster Singleton. On October 9, 2000 she was married to Fredrick Louis Shadowens at Elysian Fields, Texas. She had worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for twelve years and had been a resident of Mercury for the past twenty five years.

Survivors include her husband Freddy Shadowens of Mercury; two sisters Darlene Welty and husband Gilbert of Brenham, Texas and Nadine Mahan of Miramar, California. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
