Mary Jo Croft, age 81, of Brownwood left her earthly body on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Early, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel.
Mary Jo was born on September 13, 1932 in Poyen, Arkansas to Herman and Tennie (Walker) Fitzhugh. She married Don Croft on September 29, 1952. She attended First United Methodist Church. She was an accountant for John Arthur Thomason and Gary Thomason, and Longhorn Auto Sales for many years.
She leaves behind her daughter, Jo Lynn Landrum and husband Terry of Brownwood; son, David Croft of Brownwood; grandchildren, Jeremy Smith and wife Kristin, Lyndsey Williamson and husband James, and Clint Croft; great-grandchildren, Eric and Aden Smith, and Jud and Emmie Williamson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She also leaves behind a special friend and caregiver Chira Carr.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Don Croft; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
