Funeral services for Mary Chandler will be Friday July 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie White and Calvin Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chandler passed away Wednesday at the Bangs Nursing Facility.
She was born March 12, 1925 in Polk County, Tennessee to Elick and Eula Mayo. She was married to Vernon Chandler January 8, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Chandler has lived in Brown County since 1986. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.She is survived by her husband Vernon Chandler of Bangs, Texas, Three sons; Arnold Chandler of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert Chandler of Early, Texas, and Ron Baldwin of Bangs, Texas. Her daughters Betty Steward of Bangs, Texas and Margaret Carter of Bangs, Texas. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Chandler is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
