Martin Mindieta, age 56, of Brownwood passed away Thursday afternoon at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
He was born September 4, 1963 in Brownwood the son of Nemo and Gloria Sandoval Mindieta. He graduated from Brownwood High School and had been a resident here all of his life. He worked as a landscaper most of his life and loved to play pool with friends, listen to music, and was known to be a very loving person always willing to help others. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter Esperanza Mindieta Scott of Brownwood, a grandson, Ezekiel Mindieta of Brownwood, step-children, Brandi and Josh McDaniel of Brownwood, step-grandchildren, Believe, Live and Jacob Lawrence of Brownwood, two brothers, Geronimo Mindieta and wife Terri and Augustin Mindieta and wife Tina both of Brownwood, two sisters, Angie Mindieta of Brownwood and Dora Reyes and husband Angel of Comanche. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Tammie Mindieta and a brother, Nemo Mindieta.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, May 5 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Chapel with Martin Venegas officiating with burial to follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Monday with Rosary recited at 7 PM in the Davis-Morris Chapel.
