Graveside Services for Marlin King, age 86, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Sand Hill Cemetery in Bend, Texas with Tom Brand officiating. Visitation will be held prior to graveside service from 1-2 p.m. at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Marlin passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at a local nursing home.
Marlin was born on November 18, 1928, to Alex and Ollie Mae (Flowers) King in Comanche County. He loved to fish.
Marlin is survived by his daughter, Shirley Langford and husband Jim of Ft. Worth; step-son, Ricky Gotcher and wife Barbara of Brownwood; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ollie Mae King; son, Douglas King; and step-son, Bobby Gotcher.
