Mark Evan Walston, 54, of Brownwood, passed away on November 21, 2014, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 25, at Heartland Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 29, at the Freedom Fellowship Church in Early with Jim Maxwell and Dan Chapman officiating.
Mark Evan Walston was born on July 20, 1960, in Corpus Christi Texas to Ray Walston and Joyce Cuban Walston. He grew up and attended school in Bryan Adams High School in Dallas and married Diana Lynn West in Gun Barrel City. He was a sales associate with Walmart and attended Freedom Fellowship church.
Mark was a very caring and loving man. His family always came first before anything else. He was a hard worker and providing and caring for his family was something he took pride in. Mark was always the life of the party and he could make you laugh, whether you wanted to or not. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved barbecuing for those around him. Mark was a very talented man and had loved building things with his hands as well.
Mark was very proud of his children and loved them with all his heart. He was also very involved in their day to day lives, attending karate class, helping with homework and helping them keep a perfect attendance for the last four years. If it meant something to his children, it meant something to him as well. He was loved by everyone that knew him. Mark was a wonderful husband, a loving father, and a great friend and will truly be missed by those who were blessed to have been a part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Walston of Brownwood; sons, Chad Walston and Jordan Walston; step sons, Dustin West and Allan Hash all of Brownwood; daughters, Stephanie Walston of Dallas, Jessica Walston of Brownwood, and Yuri Biefeus of Virginia. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Joyce Walston; sister, Rayneal Treese and a little brother.
