Marjorie Elizabeth Knowles, 78, passed away at Richardson, Texas. Mrs. Knowles is formerly from Brownwood. Funeral Services for Mrs. Knowles will be held at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 10:00 AM July 6, 2015. Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Marjorie Elizabeth Knowles was born on May 17, 1937 in Conway, Arkansas to Curtis and Lela Morrison. The family moved to Dallas, Texas with her family and lived there 18 years. They moved to Brownwood in 1961.
Mrs. Knowles was a member of First Baptist Church in Brownwood where she was an active member of the choir. She worked in banking for 30 years, retiring from Texas Bank in 2006. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and music.
The important elements of her life were faith, family, and friends. “I liked every day to be lived for Christ. That reflects my spiritual upbringing and everything I believe in”. She loved her family and going to family gatherings.
Those left to cherish her memory are: A very special nephew, Dennis Knowles and his wife Ruby, and their son Gregory; cousins, Freeda Arnold, Mary Ellen Rist, Leon Morrison, Barbara Ann Cole, Arley Morrison, and Ann Bullington, all of Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Knowles is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Lela Morrison.
