A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Maria Gallegos, age 69, of Zephyr, Texas. A Rosary will be recited 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Gallegos passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene.
Maria was born on November 15, 1942 in La Montesa Zacatecas, Mexico to Gregorio Narvaez and Marciana Hernandez. In April 1966 she was married to Bacilio Gallegos Sr. in San Felipe, GTO. They had resided in Zephyr for the past 45 years. She was beloved wife, mother and loving Nana

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She is going to be sorely missed. She had a soft spot for children, animals and especially for flowers. She didn’t mind lending a helping hand to everyone she met.
