Funeral services for Marguerite Russell, age 102, of Early, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in the Lakeview Cemetery in Winters.
The family will receive friends Wednesday (11/13) from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Heartland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Russell died Friday, November 8, 2019.
Marguerite was born on July 20 1917 in Winters to Harris and Ida Mae (Haupt) Casey. She married Sam Russell on April 24, 1932 in Florence. The family ended up back in Winters where Marguerite worked as a cook for Winters High School and Senior Citizens Center. She moved to Early in 1988. Marguerite was a member of the Early First Baptist Church. She was a Christian woman who loved her family loved her family and never said anything in anger.
Marguerite is survived by a daughter, Martha Fauber and husband Harry of Deltona, Florida; two sons, Herb Russell of Early and Sam Russell, Jr. and wife Betty of Early and a sister, Bonnie Fairy; seven grandchildren, Randy Russell, Scott Russell, Sharla Goodgoin, Daniel Russell, Sheila Davis, Suzanne, Turner and John Bryant and 15 great-grandchildren. Marguerite was proud of her five generations of the Russell family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Russell in 1969, a son, Joe Milton Russell in 2005 and her siblings, Leora Wood, Esther Hager, David Casey and Daniel Casey and Donald Casey.
