Memorial services for Margie Faye Miller, age 66, of Lake Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Hetzel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday November 9, at Netherton Funeral Home in Brownwood.
Mrs. Miller passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011, Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Margie was born on January 5, 1945, in Brownwood, to Lewis and Willie Faye Slate. She married Mike Miller on November 3, 1961, in Midland Texas; he preceded her in death in 2009. Margie retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety where she was a Communications Operator for over 20 years.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Carlton Miller of Lake Brownwood and Lynette Chambers, also of Lake Brownwood
; grandchildren, Brandon “Tad” Miller and fiancée Angela Hughes, Amber Miller, Stephanie Chambers and Colton Miller; and great-grandchildren, Hallie and Hayden Miller. She is also survived by her brother, Horace Mack Slate of Midland and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L. M. Slate and Faye Meador Slate; her husband, Mike Miller and a son, Michael Miller.
