Margaret Elaine Willson, 68 of Brownwood, passed away Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday July 19th, from 12-3 p at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1715 Ave I, in Brownwood.
Margaret was born April 13, 1946 in Salinas CA, to the parentage of Hal Briggs Sr. and Deane A. Briggs. Margaret attended Antelope Valley College, Lancaster, CA. Margaret was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and loved her church family. She was a very loving person and never met a stranger. Margaret loved to crochet, sing and read. Her favorite things included Angels, Unicorns, and Frogs. Her favorite color was Lavender and she loved yellow roses.
Left to cherish her memories are daughter Leslie E. Brisco of Brownwood, 2 sons Dennis E. Willson of McMinnville OR, and Sean E. Willson of Dublin VA. 3 sisters Carole Masengale (Alvin) of Reubens ID, Marsha Segler (Mel) of Arizona, and Karen DeLafuente (Luis) of Las Vegas NV, and brother Michael Briggs (Karen) of Lancaster CA. 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Margaret was preceded in death by both parents, and brother Hal, S. Briggs Sr.
Cremation services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home 2512 Belle Plain. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Honor of Margaret.
